Prof. Ingo Klimant is a professor at the Technical University of Graz and the head of the Institute of Analytical Chemistry and Food Chemistry. He is group leader of the Sensor Materials group and an expert in the field of optical chemosensors and biosensors. Since his time as post-doctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology (1994 – 1996), he explores the potential of optical sensors for the marine environment. Prof. Klimant is author of more than 160 publications in peer reviewed journals with a total of more than 4800 citations and his h-index is 38. He also holds 25 patents related to optical sensors.
